The club was set up by Kildrum Primary School in 1998 and the help of 3 local fathers, D Russell, J Quinn and B Anderson, to give the boys and girls in the community the opportunity to play football. In the years to follow the club has steadily grown to the stage where we now have 10 teams ranging from the under 8’s (1998) to the under 16’s (1990) and we are now forming girls teams. The club badge was designed by Greg McColl following a competition set by the club. Greg still plays for the club in our 1992 team. As a club we are proud of our links with the local community and use many local schools on various nights for our training. We have now forged a link with Cumbernauld Rugby Club in Condorrat (Cumbernauld) where we play all of our home games both at soccer 7 and 11 a-side. Our annual Summer festival of football has now been running very successfully over the previous 3 seasons at our Rugby club home where we are all looking forward to this year's festival in June. |
